Last week, organisers and officials of the AMWU Victorian Branch attended the Victorian Trades Hall annual HSR conferences across the state. The AMWU had over 250 HSRs registered to attend, the highest number of any union in attendance.

The AMWU Victorian Branch abhors violence against children, no matter where they're from. As such, we are supporting a petition calling on the Australian Senate to support the United Nations, United Nation International Children Fund (UNICEF) and the recent report into the violation of the rights of Palestinian minors by Israel’s military courts.

After a 2 year long running dispute at Esso facilities with Esso Contractor UGL/MTCT, an agreement has been reached between UGL/MTCT and the AWU, AMWU, ETU and members in order to bring an end to the long running dispute. The AMWU are incredibly proud of our members for their determination to see this through, 24 hours a day, seven days a week since this dispute began, enduring all forms of harsh weather, sticking up for what they believed in no matter what challenges arose.
