Rally in solidarity with sacked CUB workers

This Thursday, the AMWU and ETU will be leading a rally in solidarity with sacked CUB workers from the Abbotsford Brewery.

55 fitters and electricians, members of the AMWU and ETU, had their employment terminated without notice in mid-June so a new contractor could offer a take-it-or-leave it non-union deal with an up to 65 per cent reduction in wages in entitlements.

Details of the event:

  • Meet at 11:45am for Noon start - Thursday 8 Sept
  • Centenary Place - Cnr of Ann, Wickham and Gotha Streets, Fortitude Valley

Join us to stand in solidarity with our comrades and call on CUB to reinstate the 55 workers and end their shameful anti-worker, anti-union tactics.
