West Australians need a pay rise. Public sector workers - essential health, transport and services workers - are stuck under the State Wages Policy. This means the WA State Government won't bargain with their employers - they just 'offer'.
In the last year the public sector workers have gotten changes to the offer but still no right to bargain. On the 17th of August, they're pushing again.
LET'S STAND IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE PUBLIC SECTOR WORKERS.
The latest offer - a one-off payment of $2,500 to last two years and 3% a year when inflation is running at over 7%, comes on top of real pay cuts for most that have been imposed over the past five years.
We need to SHOUT LOUD AND CLEAR that this is not good enough.
RSVP below with your details if you can attend on Wednesday 17th at 12.30pm at Parliament House.
(N.B Don’t forget to take all necessary precautions to secure the time off with your employer before attending the rally)
