Economic Recovery Plan

Western Australians need a new Plan for WA Jobs!

The economic impact of the COVID-19 crisis has hit businesses and working people like a freight train, with people all over the state losing their jobs, being stood down or having their hours reduced.

The impact is being felt hardest by our trades workforce, with men and women in diverse jobs all around the state feeling the brunt.

We need a plan that creates local jobs now and develops Western Australia’s manufacturing capabilities for the future. We need a plan to create quality, high technology jobs and training opportunities for the jobs of the future.

Our Economic Recovery Plan outlines how to achieve that in Western Australia.

Our campaign is about keeping the State Government focused on jobs, as well as putting forward new ideas to create new jobs and opportunities through advanced manufacturing for our mining, transport, energy and defence industries.

We’re proud to propose this plan to bring back good quality manufacturing jobs to WA.

We’re going to campaign for the South West Manufacturing Hub; incentives for local jobs and apprentices; better local content rules; and free TAFE for key skills up to Cert IV.

We’ve been talking with members and delegates about this plan and we can’t wait to campaign with you all to make this plan a reality.
