OI Glass

Workers at OI Glass have been taking rolling stoppages in their ongoing campaign for better working conditions and wages in their EBA at the glass manufacturer.

Both AMWU and ETU members are taking this protected action against a company that has been attempting to employ scab labour through labour hire companies to make sure they still make ends meet through this dispute, rather than coming to the bargaining table in good faith and seeking a way to resolve the issues.

All OI Friday BBQs are on hold. More information to come.

  • OI Glass' CEO earns around $11million annually in salary and bonuses
  • The OI Glass EBA expired in February, and OI Glass have been using delaying tactic after delaying tactic to put off having to negotiate with their workers

Who is OI Glass?

  • Asahi/Schweppes
  • CUB
  • Kirin
  • Bega

OI Glass makes the glass jars for the Vegemite you eat.

OI Glass makes the jars for many Australian pasta sauces.

So why don't OI Glass pay corporate taxes? And why don't OI Glass want to reward their workers?
Join us next Friday outside the OI Glass plant in Spotswood and join workers in asking them those very questions
