May Day Online 2020

May Day March and Family Day – this will take the form of an on-line conference via the Zoom system. This will begin 12noon sharp on Sunday 3rd of May 2020.

TAKE PART IN MAY DAY – WORKERS DAY

Because of the Pandemic, some May Day activities that normally take place on the streets will take place on line this year as mentioned.

Wreath laying at the 8 hour Memorial- a small ceremony to honour the workers who fought and won the struggle for a reduction in the working week over 200 years ago, will be held on Thursday 31st of April. The video of this will be made available online via livestream on the May Day facebook page.

May Day March and Family Day – this will take the form of an on-line conference via the zoom system. This will begin sharp at 12noon on Sunday 3rd of May 2020. The programme will consist of :

      *a brief replay of the 8 hour memorial ceremony from the previous Thursday

       * brief speeches by trades unionists about the attacks on workers rights.

      *a presentation and adoption of the May Day solidarity resolution for 2020.

      *singing of the Internationale
