More Regional Rail Supply Chain Jobs

Great news for Central Queensland – the Palaszczuk Government will breathe life back into the Rocky Aurizon workshops as a regional supply chain hub for rail manufacturing.

This announcement is on top of the $1 billion pipeline of rail manufacturing announced for Maryborough earlier this week, including the manufacture of new trains for Cross River Rail – trains made by Queenslanders, for Queenslanders in Maryborough.

The revitalised Aurizon workshops in Rocky will be used to manufacture components of the new trains to be built in Maryborough.

Manufacturing and supply chains support thousands of jobs across Queensland, and this announcement will ensure more secure, local jobs supplying Maryborough.

Working together with the Palaszczuk Govt, we’ll deliver more rail supply chain jobs in regional Qld.
