The success of the manufacturing industry is pivotal to Queensland jobs growth, thriving local communities and a robust economy for our state. That’s why your union has made a submission to the Queensland Jobs Growth Summit focused on promoting good jobs with decent conditions and strong job growth in Queensland.

The recommendations put forward in our submission include:

  • Support for existing local industry transitioning into advanced forms of manufacturing.
  • Fair wages and conditions to match highly-skilled work
  • The implementation of manufacturing hubs throughout Queensland to support rural and regional workers
