In the last week, the Australian Manufacturing Workers’ Union (AMWU) has been in discussions with Arrium management and administrators of the company to ensure that interests of employees are being considered in the future of the company.
There are a number of important matters that AMWU members need to be aware of:
First creditors meeting and proxy forms
The first creditors meeting will occur on Tuesday 19 April.
If you want the AMWU to be your representative at the meeting you need to complete a proxy form.
To get a copy of your proxy form:

- Speak your union delegate
- Speak to your site administrator
Change of administrator
On Tuesday, the board appointed Administrator, Grant Thornton, announced that it would be standing aside for a new administrator, KordaMentha. The AMWU has been in discussions with KordaMentha and has been assured by the administrator that they will be informing the union of developments and decisions as they arise.
