The Australian Manufacturing Workers’ Union (AMWU) National Secretary Steve Murphy has praised outgoing ACTU Secretary Sally McManus while endorsing incoming leader Mel Donnelly.
“The AMWU acknowledges and thanks Sally McManus for her enduring strength, discipline, and leadership,” Mr Murphy said.
“Mel Donnelly has earned deep respect and broad support right across the union movement. Our support for the new ACTU secretary—and our focus on fighting for better pay, rights, and unity for workers—continues unabated.”
