2016 Women's Conference Wrap-up

Last week, AMWU women from across Queensland came together to talk about the challenges and opportunities facing women in the manufacturing industry at the 2016 AMWU Women’s Conference.

Check out our video wrap up of the 2016 Women’s Conference here.

The theme of this year’s conference was ‘sisters empowering one another’.

Four women members will attend the upcoming Queensland State Conference to put forward resolutions from the conference including:

  • pushing for annual women’s conferences
  • increased education opportunities through the union;  and
  • more communication platforms that promote women member’s networking and engagement.

The AMWU Women’s Conference is a great opportunity to meet other women in the industry, learn new strategies and have your say. If you’re interested becoming a getting involved, Click here or talk to your local organiser today!
