Victorian Trades Hall Council

Everyone is invited to attend the annual commemoration service at the Trades Hall. It will commence at 10.30am. There will be a short ceremony where workers killed in Victoria will be remembered, followed by a minute's silence at 11am. All welcome.
Centenary Rose Garden, Commercial Road
Organised jointly by the Asbestos Council of Victoria (GARDS) and the Gippsland Trades and Labour Council, the International Workers Memorial Day Annual Wreath Laying Ceremony will honour those who have lost their lives through workplace accidents and illness. Beginning at 11.00am, the event will feature guest speakers, music, an ecumenical service and will be followed by a free community BBQ provided by the GTLC.

Ceremony commemorating Workers’ Memorial Day will be held at Emma Miller Place from 10am.
(Emma Miller Place is the parkland located directly next to Hotel Jen. Special, reserved seats will be arranged.)

Pilgrim Uniting Church, 12 Flinders Street, Adelaide.
Everyone affected by a work-related death or significant trauma is welcome to attend this service and provided the opportunity to contribute a personal item or photograph for the memorial display.
The ecumenical commemorative service will feature a candle-lighting ceremony as well as the symbolic release of doves and memorial balloons. Light refreshments will be served after the service in the hall adjoining the church.

Tasmanian unions invite all members of the community to stand together to mark this day.
The service will commence at 8am and will be followed by a barbeque breakfast.
