Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union

AMWU Women

This is the place to find all information regarding the new AMWU Women's Committee!

The AMWU is starting a Women's Committee to represent & campaign for women workers. And we're looking for any interested AMWU women members to put their hand up and join the Women's Committee!

Our first meeting for 2017 will be held 10am Wednesday 18th January at the AMWU (Ground Floor, 251 Queensberry St, Carlton South). RSVP here!

We're going to be starting a number of great campaigns around issues such as Domestic and Family Violence Leave, Superannuation for Women, and we'll be setting our agenda & priorities for the year. We’ll also be planning for the Australian Women in Male Dominated Occupations and Industries (WIMDOI) Conference to be held in Melbourne later this year!

Not to mention designing some new & improved merchandise for AMWU women!

This is your opportunity to tell us what you want out of your union, to discuss how the union can better service and advocate for our women members, and to meet other women union activists.

Interested in joining the AMWU Women's Committee? RSVP now!

Remember: Sign up here to come along to our first meeting or to find out more!
