Assistant ResearchOfficer

The Australian Manufacturing Workers’ Union invites applications for interested persons to become part of its team of research officers in the AMWU National Office. 

Responsibilities include:
Providing industrial advice and information to Officials, Officers, delegates and members of the Union as required;
Researching, monitoring and reporting industrial law developments;
Researching and reporting on issues affecting workers covered by the Union;
Preparing cases for courts and tribunals, including the Australian Industrial Relations Commission;
Preparing submissions for internal and external inquriies;
Conducting corporate and industry research and preparing reports for Officials and Organisers as required.
