A new website, established by Canadians is sending a message to the Canadian government calling for an end to Canada's continued export of asbestos.

The “canadacausescancer” asbestos action was created in anticipation of Canada’s continued opposition to list chrysotile asbestos as a hazardous substance at the June UN Rotterdam Convention meeting.  During Canada's last election campaign, Canadian Prime Minister Harper showed particular support for the continued mining and export of Canadian asbestos to developing countries.  For this reason, this campaign focuses attention on Mr Harper and provides him with some advice.
