The AMWU and the Engineering, Printing and Manufacturing Union have launched a scholarship to celebrate the life of long-term AMWU and NZ Union official, Steve Milne, who passed away earlier this year.

The scholarship will involve an annual delegate/activist exchange between the AMWU and the EPMU, focussed on growth-organising and deepening union learning.

Each member chosen for the scholarship will spend two weeks with their host union working on their project.

Preference will be given to projects designed to build trans-Tasman union networks within companies operating in both Australia and New Zealand.

Applications for the scholarship will close on Friday January 15th, 2010.
