tmpcwa international campaign

Toyota workers in the Philippines have been fighting for the right to bargain collectively with their employer since 1999. The workers have faced mass sackings, and a refusal by the company to recognise their legal union, the Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation Workers' Association (TMPCWA).

The workers want to earn a fair wage to keep their families out of poverty. The AMWU is part of an international campaign to force Toyota to comply with the orders of the Philippines Supreme Court and rulings of the United Nations to re-instate the sacked workers and bargain with their union.

You can find out more about this campaign and how you can help by visiting the International Metalworkers' Federation campaign site or by visiting the TMPCWA home page
