The plight of workers at Paragon Printing and Forgecast has highlighted the need for a national system that protects workers entitlements in full and holds company directors to account for their legal obligations to employees.

The AMWU believes that it is simply unacceptable for employers to be able to treat worker’s entitlements such as redundancy pay and superannuation as interest free, unsecured loans.
