The NSW Government is planning to hand over the state's electricity to big business - taking power out of our hands.

The experience in other states and overseas shows us private ownership leads to higher prices, less reliable supply, and key service jobs being sent offshore.

On Tuesday 26th of March, thousands of workers and commmunity members rallied at NSW Palriament House demanding that the government abandon its privatisation plans.

The Stop the Sell-Off coaltion also launched this television ad as part of our campaign to ensure NSW residents are protected from the price rises and job losses caused by privatisation.

Privatisation schemes such as the M5 tollway, the Cross City Tunnel and the Airport Rail Link have only resulted in increased costs for commuters and reduced public accountability. We call on the NSW Government to cease its privatisation agenda, including in electricity, rail and the ferry system.
